Since Wednesday evening, at least six people have died in rain-related incidents across Uttarakhand. Many pilgrims and tourists are now stranded on the Sonprayag-Kedarnath road due to the severe weather. Cloudbursts, landslides and other natural disasters have affected Kedarnath Yatra Route. Search and rescue efforts are in full swing in Samej village, Shimla, after a severe cloudburst hit Himachal Pradesh. Since the night of July 31 to August 1, 36 people have been missing due to the Himachal cloudburst and subsequent flash floods that caused extensive damage. The army built a temporary footbridge to help rescue teams cross the river and reach affected areas. Teams from NDRF, SDRF, police, and Home Guard are all working together to find the missing people and provide aid.
