An emotional story of a father and son`s reunion is going viral. Sukhpal Singh from Amritsar was joyfully reunited with his Japanese son, Rin Takahata, after 20 years. Rin, a 21-year-old student at Osaka University of Arts, was working on a family tree project when he decided to find his father. With only his father`s name, an old address, and some photographs from his mother Sachie Takahata, Rin traveled to Amritsar. On August 18, he asked for help on Fatehgarh Churian Road and was directed to Sukhpal Singh`s new home on Loharka Road. The reunion happened just before Raksha Bandhan, a special time for families. Despite previous unsuccessful attempts to connect via social media, the emotional moment of their meeting was captured in a video that has gone viral online. US President Joe Biden’s “xenophobia” comment on May 01 at a fundraiser campaign triggered a diplomatic row. US President said “xenophobia” from China, India, and Japan is stopping the economic growth of these countries. President Joe Biden made this controversial remark while advocating for the US immigration policy. He said, “Folks, this election is about freedom, America, and democracy. That’s why I badly need you. You know, one of the reasons why our economy is growing is because of you and many others. Why? Because we welcome immigrants. We look to — the reason — look, think about it. Why is China stalling so badly economically? Why is Japan having trouble? Why is Russia? Why is India? Because they’re xenophobic. They don’t want immigrants.” The remarks, from Joe Biden came after The White House hosted Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida for a State visit. Notably, The White House welcomed Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a state visit last summer. However, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre defended President Biden’s statement. She said that the President’s comments were part of a broader message emphasising the strength of America`s immigrant heritage. Our allies and partners know very well how much this President respects them...He was making a broad comment speaking about this (US) country, speaking about how important it is to be a country of immigrants and how it makes our country stronger. Notably, The US will go to polls later this year, and country`s economy, immigration are the top issues for voters.
