In a major mishap, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi died as his chopper crashed near Azerbaijan border on May 19. As per the latest update, there has been no clue of any living person in President Raisi’s search, reported Press TV. Meanwhile, #mossad started trending on the microblogging platform ‘X’ after the reports of a helicopter crash. Netizens speculated that the Iranian Institute for Intelligence, Special Operations ‘Mossad’ behind the mishap. Soon after Iranian President Raeisi’s chopper crash, one of the netizens said, “It’s never an accident”. Notably, President Raisi was returning from a ceremony to open a dam on Iran’s border with Azerbaijan when his helicopter crashed. Ebrahim Raisi had been in Azerbaijan early on May 19 to inaugurate a dam with Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev. Raisi`s death was confirmed in a statement by VP Mohsen Mansouri and on state television, Reuters reported. Recently, Iran rained a deluge of drones and missiles on Israel deepening conflict between the two countries. Iran’s had launched attack in response to a suspected Israeli strike that killed top Iranian officials in Syria.

India’s External Affairs Ministry has finally reacted to the ongoing conflict between Iran and Pakistan. Deadly airstrikes were carried out by Iran on terror outfit’s headquarters in Pakistan’s Balochistan. Pakistan claimed that two children lost their lives, two sustained serious injuries in the airstrikes by Iran. India took a pro-Iranian stance and emphasised ‘actions countries take for self-defense’. Pakistan condemned Iran’s actions and termed the attack as an “unprovoked violation” of its airspace. In 2019, India carried out airstrikes in Balakot in retaliation to the suicide attack by Jaish-e-Mohammad terror group in Pulwama.
