Heavy rainfall has created havoc in the life of residents of Delhi. A drone camera captured visuals of severe waterlogging near Saket metro station following heavy rainfall in the city. It is worthy to be noted that the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a “yellow” alert for Delhi till Saturday amid a forecast that rain will continue to lash the national capital till July 28.

Ahead of the official arrival of Monsoons, Delhi and NCR (National Capital Region) received incessant rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning beginning in the early hours of June 28. Earlier, parts of Delhi received spells of heavy rainfall, bringing much-needed respite from the sweltering heat. Several areas in and around the capital are waterlogged creating traffic disruptions in the region. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted the weather for the next seven days in Delhi, predicting generally cloudy skies and varying intensities of rain. As predicted by IMD for June 28, the forecast includes light to moderate rain or thunderstorms.
