Interim bail has been granted to Delhi Chief Minister and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal by Supreme Court. CM Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in the Delhi excise policy case. The Apex Court referred his petition challenging his arrest by the Enforcement Directorate to a larger bench. Supreme Court observed that ‘elected leader’ Arvind Kejriwal has suffered incarceration of 90 days. However, Delhi’s Chief Minister Kejriwal will remain in the CBI custody in the excise policy matter.

Swati Maliwal, an AAP Rajya Sabha MP, recently penned a letter to Arvind Kejriwal, highlighting serious concerns regarding the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW). She expressed dismay over the Delhi Government`s actions since her resignation as chairperson, alleging a deliberate effort to shut down the DCW. Maliwal stated that funds for the DCW have been withheld for six months, with a substantial 30% budget cut for the year. She lamented the closure of the crucial 181 Helpline, critical for a city often termed the "rape capital." Maliwal underscored her belief that such actions reflect a government discomfort with empowered women and their voices.
