Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha had starred opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in the 2019 movie Dream Girl. The film won the audience`s hearts with Ayushmann`s portrayal of a man who uses his unique ability to talk in a woman`s voice to work in a call center at night. The comedy, set in small-town India, also highlighted some social issues. Nushrratt played the role of Ayushmann`s love interest in the film.
Four years later, the film`s makers are all set to release its sequel. But this time, they have cast Ananya Panday as the leading lady, in place of Nushrrat. The actress has expressed disappointment over not being chosen for the sequel.
