The 33rd WWE Royal Rumble had Becky Lynch defend her Raw women's title against Asuka, Lacey Evans face Bayley for the SmackDown women's title, Daniel Bryan and The Fiend Bray Wyatt in a Strap match as well as the Men's and Women's Royal Rumble matches respectively for a title shot at WrestleMania 36.
