Sultan Suleiman trained by Altaf Hussain, and owned by racing`s identical twins Dinsha and Munchi Shroff in partnership with Mrs Aban N Chothia & Saleem Fazelbhoy, posted a stylish victory in the Aziz H Ahmedbhoy Trophy, the feature event of the Friday afternoon card. Trevor Patel, who rode Sultan Suleiman, also drove the Bezan Chenoy-trained Aegon to a fluent victory in the upper division of the Quest For Cash Plate, thereby scoring a brace.

However, jockey P S Chouhan overshadowed Trevor`s performance by booting home three winners. His successes included the Sir Charles Forbes Trophy, in which he rode debut-maker Spinoza, trained by Pesi Shroff. The Air Support - Showin` Off three-year-old bay colt was backed to the exclusion of his seven rivals, and justified the faith of his backers by  a three-length victory over Supreme Angel (Neeraj Rawal up).
