Maharashtra’s boys and girls teams excelled in the 34th Junior Nationals waterpolo event conducted by the Swimming Federation of India held in Bangalore recently. The state boys U-17 team beat Karnataka in the semi-finals, but lost to Bengal in the final for silver. The girls meanwhile, won the bronze medal, beating Kerala in the third-place playoff.
