Only three runners are left in the fray for the Bangalore Turf Club Trophy, a seven-furlong contest for class I horses, which is slated as the feature event of Sunday`s Mahalaxmi card. Son of A Gun, trained by Narendra Lagad and to be ridden by Mustakim Alam, has the best credentials, but his last wayward run is certainly a cause for concern--especially, when the Deepesh Narredu-trained Amazonia (Neeraj Rawal up), who got a lung opener on this track in that same race, is now better placed at the scales, and Son Of A Gun will need to capitalize on his superior class without making heavy weather of the task.
First race at 2.30 pm.
