Another nine-race card is offered at the Pune racetrack on Saturday (October 23), the Akkasaheb Maharaj Trophy (grade 3) being slated as the feature event.
There are six top-class horses in the fray, and by the terms of the race, the Imtiaz Sait-trained Iron Age is asked to carry top weight of 59 kg. Despite conceding weight all around, Iron Age can humble his five rivals, which include Silver Flames, Hidden Gold, and also the Hyderabad challenger Smashing Blue (Akshay Kumar up) from the yard of trainer RH Sequeira, for whom A Sandesh astride Iron Age will need to keep a close eye.
