As widely anticipated, the Pesi Shroff-trained Parisian completed a mere formality when she bagged the C N Wadia Gold Cup (Gr 2), the feature event of Sunday`s seven-race card at Mahalaxmi.
The six-year-old bay mare by Champs Elysees out of Anywaysmile who, only last month, had travelled to Kolkata and won the Indian Champion Cup (Gr 1) & the Queen Elizabeth II Cup (Gr 3), thus continued her winning spree at her home center. Parisian raced in the silks of Vijay Shirke, and was ridden to victory by jockey P S Chouhan. She decisively defeated Caprisca (S Antony Raj up) and Truly Epic (C S Jodha up), both saddled by veteran trainer Imtiaz Sait, to justify the tag of the shortest priced favourite on the Sunday card.
