Don Bosco's Shreyas Sail opened the scoring in the 18th minute unleashing a left-footer off an assist by skipper Clivert Millar. Then in the 20th minute, Rajin Mehta pounced on a loose ball to beat St Mary's goalkeeper Sudhanshu Supekar from close range. St Mary's striker Zaid Bhujwala reduced the deficit three minutes later with the match interestingly poised 2-1 at half-time.
