Army man from Maharashtra clocks new Asiad time of 8:19.50 to bag India’s first athletics gold this Asian Games

Maharashtra’s army man Avinash Sable, 28, dominated his way to winning India’s first athletics gold medal (steeplechase) of this Asiad, clocking a new Games Record of 8:19.50 at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre, on Sunday.
Sable also became first Indian man to win an Asian Games 3000m steeplechase title.
