India has won their first gold medal in rifle shooting at the Asian Games 2023. Rudranksh Patil, Aishwary Tomar and Divyansh Panwar won in the 10-metre Air Rifle Team event. India`s women`s shooting squad, comprising Ramita Jindal, Ashi Chouksey and Mehuli Ghosh, clinched the second position in the women`s 10m air rifle team competition

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Monday congratulated athletes Rudranksh Patil, Aishwary Tomar and Divyansh Panwar for winning the first gold medal for rifle shooting at the Asian Games 2023.
Taking to Twitter, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde said: "Divyansh Panwar, Aishwari Pratap Singh Tomar and Rudranksh Patil set their sights on a gold medal by topping the men`s 10m air rifle team event in the men`s shooting category. This is India`s first gold in this tournament. Heartiest congratulations to Divyansh Panwar, Aishwari Pratap Singh Tomar and Rudranksh Patil and best wishes for their future achievements in shooting sports."
