Spanish football star Gerard Pique is happy with the relationship he has with singer girlfriend Shakira. On Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville’s show, The Overlap, when the host asked Pique why he is yet to marry Shakira, despite having two kids in a relationship of 11 years with the Colombian, he replied:  “No, I’m not married. It’s her mentality. I like it how we are right now. We have two kids, nine and seven right now. We work good as a couple.”

Neville then joked that Pique had been rejected in his proposal for marriage. The Spaniard remarked: “No, no, no I would tell you, I don’t have any problem. But it’s not the case.” Earlier, Shakira said that marriage was acting as a dangling carrot for Pique to be the best partner he can be. “I don’t want him [Gerard] to see me as the wife. I’d rather him see me as his girlfriend. It’s like a little forbidden fruit, you know? I wanna keep him on his toes. I want him to think that anything’s possible depending on behaviour.”
