Skipper Sunil Chhetri’s brace helped India beat Maldives 3-1 at the Maldives National Football Stadium to qualify for the final of the SAFF Championship on Wednesday.
Manvir Singh gave India the lead in the 33rd minute before Ali Ashfaq equalised for Maldives in the 44th minute. In the 62nd minute, Chhetri scored to make it 2-1 in India’s favour. Nine minutes later, Chhetri netted the winner.
