Warner, Stoinis, Agar misses out on Cricket Australia's central contract

David Warner missing out on the contract was expected as the veteran intended to pull the curtain on the game after the T20 World Cup 2024. He is currently busy in India with Delhi Capitals for the IPL 2024

Veteran opening batsman David Warner who announced his retirement from ODI and Test cricket has been dropped from Cricket Australia`s central contract for the 2024-25 season. Along with him, Ashton Agar and Marcus Stoinis were also snubbed from the contracts. Besides, Victoria opener Marcus Harris and pacer Michael Neser have also missed out on contracts that were offered to 23 players, according to a report by `cricket.com.au`.
Australia have a hectic season as they will feature in the T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and West Indies in June. Also, the Aussies will host a five-match test series against India in late November.
