The Australian cricket fraternity have come together to join hands with UNICEF in order to help with donations towards India`s battle against Covid-19

The coronavirus cases in the country have become a serious issue. The emerging Covid-19 cases in the country also saw them make their way to the IPL. The IPL 2021 season was indefinitely postponed after coronavirus cases emerged among certain staff and players belonging to IPL franchises such as Kolkata Knight Riders, Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
India saw a record rise in Covid-19 deaths with 4,205 fresh fatalities, while 3,48,421 new infections were reported as of May 12, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Wednesday.
