India repeated the 3-0 dose on the West Indies to clinch the T20I series here on Sunday night after their clean sweep in the ODI series. Except for Nicholas Pooran (47-ball 61, 8x4, 1x6), none of the other Windies batters contributed much as they tried chasing India’s 184-5. Harshal Patel was India’s top bowler with 3-22 off four overs as the Windies finished on 167-9, losing by 17 runs.
Earlier, Suryakumar Yadav unleashed his brute power en route an explosive half-century and was well supported by Venkatesh Iyer as India posted a challenging total. Suryakumar smashed seven sixes and one boundary in an exceptional display of clean-hitting before getting out for a 31-ball 65 in the final delivery. India smashed 86 runs in the final five overs.
