Cricket legend Gavaskar reminds MCA of how he didn’t get awarded the best junior cricketer in 1965-66 while thanking them for the hospitality box honour

Sunil Gavaskar was at his inimitable best when his turn came to speak at the Wankhede Stadium on Friday. The legendary Indian opener was honoured with a hospitality box named after him at the Churchgate ground to celebrate 50 years of his Test match debut (March 6, 1971 v West Indies) by the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). The hospitality box is located next to the commentary box.
