In his debut match at the age of 19 against Pakistan, Dev scored his maiden test century against West Indies at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi in just 124 balls. On his first tour to England, he took 5 wickets. In the 131 tests he has played for the country, Kapil has scored 5248 runs with his highest score being 163

Famously known as the Haryana Hurricane, Kapil Dev is the greatest fast-bowling all-rounder India has ever produced. He will always be remembered for his aggressive batting and out swingers, for leading the Indian team to a World Cup victory in 1983.
