India captain Rohit Sharma said his “dugout can really be at ease” when Suryakumar Yadav is in the middle, playing astonishing shots. Suryakumar scored a magnificent 25-ball 61 not out as India crushed Zimbabwe by 71 runs to set up a semi-final date with England.
“The dugout can really be at ease when he bats, and he has shown a lot of composure while batting. We expected this from him, and he’s gone from strength to strength,” Rohit said at the post-match presentation.
