Left-arm spinner Shams Mulani, as was the case in earlier games, was Mumbai’s hero with 4-111 while Test man Shardul Thakur, Mohit Avasthi and Tanush Kotian claimed two wickets apiece.

Hosts Assam were in a poor way on the penultimate day of their Group ‘B’ Ranji Trophy clash against Mumbai at the Amingaon Cricket Ground here on Thursday.
They got bowled out for 370 in response to Mumbai’s massive 687-4 declared and on following on, were gasping at 36-5 at stumps, trailing by 281 runs.
