Sunrisers Hyderabad star David Warner was removed from the post as captain by the management after the team were seen struggling at the bottom of the IPL 2021 points table with just 1 win from 7 games. New Zealand batsman Kane Williamson was named Warner`s replacement as captain of the SRH team.
However, much to the surprise of cricket experts and fans, Warner was also dropped from the playing XI during the match against Rajasthan Royals. Chasing 221, SRH could only manage 165 on board for the loss of 8 wickets and lost the match by 55 runs.
