The Mumbai Cricket Association’s (MCA) Apex Council had a marathon, three-hour meeting at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. Most of the time was consumed discussing Mumbai’s debacle in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy recently when the host outfit lost four of their five league games.
Now, it is learnt that the MCA office bearers will meet the Lalchand Rajput-led Cricket Improvement Committee (CIC) next week and decide on the new coach’s appointment with Amit Pagnis having resigned from his post recently.
