Injuries have been a part of Mayank`s cricketing journey. He missed IPL 2023 due to an injury sustained in a practice session and had to miss the 2023/24 Ranji Trophy

Former South Africa player and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) fielding coach Jonty Rhodes hailed the franchise pacer, Mayank Yadav by saying "Rolls Royce".
Mayank Yadav gained the limelight during the match against Punjab Kings (PBKS). He consistently bowled above 145 kmph and returned with the figures of three wickets for 27 runs. Playing four IPL 2024 matches, Yadav claimed four wickets with an economy of 6.99 and generated a speed of 155.8 kmph.
