IPL 2024: West Indies star Shamar Joseph roped in by LSG as Wood's replacement

Shamar Joseph will join Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for RS. 3 crores for the upcoming IPL 2024. This will be the first appearance of Joseph in the Indian Premier League. Mark Wood is currently with the England team which is touring India for a five-match Test series

West Indies pacer Shamar Joseph on Saturday was roped in by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for IPL 2024. He was named as the replacement player for England star pacer Mark Wood.
The 24-year-old speedster debuted during the first test against Australia in Adelaide. There he bagged five wickets for 94 runs. The interesting part of the story is during the second test, Australia`s lead Mitchell Strac bowled a toe-crushing yorker to Joseph which made him retire hurt in the second innings.
