Stylish India batter Shikhar Dhawan on Wednesday called Mayank Agarwal a `great` character and said that he will enjoy opening the innings with him for Punjab Kings in the upcoming IPL 2022. The 36-year old Dhawan, who last represented Delhi Capitals in the IPL, was bought for Rs 8.25 crore by Punjab Kings in the mega auction. On the other hand, Mayank has been named the captain of the Punjab based franchise.
Punjab Kings will begin their IPL 2022 campaign against Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 27 at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. "Mayank is quite an experienced player now. He is a great character and as well as a funny guy, so I will enjoy opening the innings with him for Punjab Kings," Dhawan told IANS at the sidelines of the launch of his Foundation.
