Rishabh Pant cannot wait to start his captaincy stint with Delhi Capitals against mentor Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings, hoping to use “learnings” from the iconic former skipper to upstage him in the IPL clash at Wankhede on Saturday.
Pant, 23, a highly rated wicketkeeper-batsman cannot wait to start his stint as a leader in that match. “My first match as captain will be against Mahi [Dhoni] bhai. It will be a good experience for me as I have learned a lot from him. I have my own experience as a player as well. “I’ll apply my own experience and the learnings from Dhoni, and try to do something different against CSK,” Pant was quoted as saying in a press release issued by Delhi Capitals.
