Differently Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI) was formed on Monday under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act. Mahantesh GK will head the umbrella body.

Disability cricket is close to realising its dream of being under the BCCI’s wings after physically challenged, deaf, blind and wheelchair cricket bodies came under one umbrella as directed by BCCI secretary Jay Shah. Differently Abled Cricket Council of India (DCCI) was formed on Monday under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act. Mahantesh GK will head the umbrella body.
Common body
Mahantesh, who represents Cricket Association for the Blind in India, Ravi Chauhan, representing Physically Challenged Cricket Association of India, Abhai Pratap Singh (Wheelchair Cricket India Association) and Sumit Jain (Indian Deaf Cricket Association) decided to come together to form a common body for disability cricket.
