The ICC World Cup 2023 match between India and Sri Lanka is underway In Mumbai at the iconic Wankhede Stadium. After the dismissals of the two set Indian batters, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer walked in to guide India to a respectable total. Iyer muscled up his innings by smashing huge sixes and KL, on the other hand, continued to play sensible cricketing shots. Both completed their 50-run stand in Dusmantha Chameera`s over. In the 39th over, after the first ball, the Sri Lankan right arm pacer tricked Rahul and picked his wicket for 21 runs.
Team India lost the wicket of Rohit Sharma in a quick session. Sharma smashed a four before getting bowled in Dilshan Madhushanka`s over. After the dismissal of the Indian skipper, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli shouldered the innings with crisp batting in the middle. The duo went on to complete their 100-run stand in just the 17th over of the match.
