The ICC World Cup 2023 clash between India and the Netherlands saw the domination of Indian batters over the Dutch bowlers. The `Men in Blue` set a target of 411 runs for the `Dutch` to chase down. Shreyas Iyer muscled up his shots and smashed 128 runs in just 94 deliveries. Accompanying him was India`s wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul who played a blistering knock of 102 runs. Both made a partnership of 200 runs.
Openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill completed their 100-run stand after which Teja Nidamanuru took a stunning one-handed catch to dismiss Gill. Soon, Bas de Leede made another breakthrough for the Netherlands by picking the wicket of the Indian skipper. Rohit and Gill scored 61 runs and 51 runs, respectively.
