Happy, Hardy and geet save this one! Film review Sonil Dedhia sonil. dedhia@ mid- day. com Himesh Reshammiyau2019s Happy Hardy and Heer is far from being the ideal rom- com, but it doesnu2019t disappoint either. The story begins with childhood buddies, Happy ( Reshammiya) and Heer ( Sonia Mann). He is coined a loser, and sheu2019s referred to as bheja fry. Happy is in love with Heer, but doesnu2019t confess his feelings for her. But when Heer moves to London, he follows to woo his ladylove. The story takes a turn when Heer meets successful entrepreneur Hardy ( Reshammiya, again), who is raised in London. She falls for him, and eventually finds herself choosing between her childhood friend, and the ideal man.
For a romantic drama, the film gets a lot right u2014 the love story is impeccable. But the romance never blossoms, and so, it does not leave any impact on the audience. The plot is incoherent, and often convoluted, and the several sub- plots further take away from the experience. But what works in the filmu2019s favour are the actors and the music.
