Deciding to field, MCA restricted CCI to 142-9 in the allotted 20 overs

Riding on skipper Sujit Nayak’s 91 and medium-pacer Prathmesh Dake’s 4-12, Cricket Club of India (CCI) beat MCA Colts by 71 runs in the RFS Talyarkhan Memorial Invitation Cricket Tournament final at the Bombay Gymkhana on Saturday.
Deciding to field, MCA restricted CCI to 142-9 in the allotted 20 overs. Medium-pacer Ashray Sajani claimed the top six CCI batsmen, including four wickets off successive balls, to finish with 6-19 runs. CCI, who were struggling at 36-6 at one stage, were rescued by their skipper and No.7 batsman Nayak, who took the fight to the opposition. Nayak’s 52-ball knock was laced with six fours and four sixes.
