Star off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was on Thursday fined 25 per cent of his match fee for breaching the IPL code of conduct during Rajasthan Royals` thrilling win over Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday. He was fined for breaching Article 2.7 of the IPL`s code of conduct during the match which the Royals won by three runs.
"Ashwin admitted to the Level 1 Offence under Article 2.7 of the IPL`s Code of Conduct. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee`s decision is final and binding," a statement from the IPL said.
