On Sunday, Russian President Vladimir Putin landed in Uzbekistan`s capital, where he will meet with President Shavkay Mirziyoyev. The talks are anticipated to centre on strengthening ties between the two nations.
Putin laid a wreath at Tashkent`s Independence Monument and reportedly had informal talks with Mirziyoyev, according to the Kremlin. The presidents will convene in an official session on Monday.
