Afghanistan’s acting Prime Minister Mohammad Hassan Akhund, during his first public address on Saturday, assured the world that he seeks ‘good relations with all countries. “Islamic Emirate wants good relations with all countries, wants economic relations with them, does not want to interfere in others’ internal affairs and urges countries to continue their aid to the people of Afghanistan,” Akhund was quoted by TOLOnews.
During his television address, Akhund also accused former Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani of corruption and funds embezzlement. “Ghani had established a bank inside the Presidential palace”, Akhund said. Taliban found the bulk of cash in the Presidential palace which was left behind by Ghani and his team while escaping, he said, as quoted by Khaam Press.
