Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, Deputy Commissioner of Srinagar, provided details stating that among the passengers, seven were minors and eight were adults.

Twelve individuals were rescued, but unfortunately, six succumbed to their injuries, while three remain missing, he said.

Dr Sameena, Zonal Medical Officer at Batmaloo said rescue efforts involving SDRF, NDRF, and other forces, were underway. She said injured were given provide medical assistance and some of whom have been shifted to SMHS hospital.

Mehbooba Mufti, Chief of the Jammu and Kashmir People`s Democratic Party expressed shock and sorrow over the loss of lives in the tragic incident. She urged the administration to provide all necessary assistance to the affected families.
