PM Modi also detailed Nalanda University`s future role in cultural exchange and engagement with ASEAN countries

As he inaugurated the new campus of Nalanda University in Rajgir on Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that the restoration of Nalanda will usher in India`s `Golden Age`. PM Modi expressed his delight at visiting Nalanda immediately after taking office for the third time, describing it as more than simply a name, but a sign of endurance in which knowledge endures despite hardships, reported ANI.
"I am happy that I got the opportunity to visit Nalanda within 10 days after swearing in as PM for the third time," PM Modi said and added, "Nalanda is more than just a name, it`s a mantra, an identity, a declaration that books might get destroyed in fire, but knowledge persists. The revival of Nalanda will mark the beginning of the Golden Age of India."
