The Congress Party and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have been in a war of words over the PM`s remarks on Rahul Gandhi.

Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi`s `Murkho ke sardar` remark against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the party MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary said on Tuesday that the Prime Minister was already aware of the results of the assembly elections which is why he has used such "foul language". "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is already aware of the results of the elections, and this is the reason why the prime minister of the country is using such foul language and calling Rahul Gandhi a `murkh`," Chowdhary told ANI.

PM Modi without taking his name, mocked the Wayanad MP, calling him `Murkhon Ke sardar` after the latter`s claim on the dominance of "Made in China" mobile phones in India. Hitting back at PM Modi, Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel said that the PM has `abused` the public with his remarks against the Congress leader.
