Over 93,000 COVID-19 cases in 24 hours take India tally across 53 lakh

There were 1,247 deaths in a day as 53,08,014 cases were registered with India remaining just behind the US, which it has overtaken in terms of recoveries

Continuing with its massive daily spike, India recorded 93,337 coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, taking its overall tally across the 53-lakh mark, data from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare showed on Saturday.
There were 1,247 deaths in a day as 53,08,014 cases were registered with India remaining just behind the US, which it has overtaken in terms of recoveries.
