Director General of Police (DGP) of Jammu and Kashmir, Dilbag Singh, stated that while militancy in the union territory has decreased, it has not been completely eradicated. Speaking at a function in Srinagar, Singh mentioned that there are still inimical elements attempting to create trouble in the region, and the police are taking strong actions against those involved in anti-national activities.

Singh also addressed the issue of missing Army personnel, assuring that all efforts are being made to trace the soldier. He highlighted that certain areas like Downtown in Srinagar are being appreciated by tourists, as they are home to talented youth, and efforts will be made to provide them with suitable platforms.
