The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday evening predicted thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and light rainfall is likely to occur at isolated places over Washim and Yavatmal districts of Maharashtra`s Vidarbha. The department also said that these areas may experience gusty winds with speed reaching up to 30-40 Kmph.
Meanwhile, Brahmapuri recorded highest temperture in the state today with mercury reaching up to 46.5 degree celsius. Other regions of the Vidarbha like Nagpur, Akola, Chandrapur and others witnessed temperatures beyond 40 degree celsius The lowest was recorded in Mahabaleshwar at 18.5 degree celsius, said the IMD.
