NCP workers held protests against the Enforcement Directorate (ED) during its searches at former Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh`s premises in Nagpur district.
The ED conducted searches at the two residences of Deshmukh, an NCP leader, as part of a probe into a money laundering case. Two separate teams of the central agency searched his house in Katol town, located about 60 km from here, and his ancestral home at Wadvihira village near Katol, officials said. A large number of personnel from Katol police station were deployed at these two places to maintain law and order, an official said.
