A police officer in Madhya Pradesh`s Chhatarpur district was removed from field duty on Monday after a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator sat on a dharna accusing him of misbehaving with him, an official said.

Rajesh Prajapati, the MLA from Chandla (SC) Assembly seat, staged the protest on the intervening night on Sunday and Monday after a heated argument between him and Lavkushnagar police station in-charge Hemant Nayak.
