Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman criticised the Congress manifesto on Saturday, warning of potential economic regression if implemented. She likened the manifesto to a "Muslim League document" and stressed the BJP`s responsibility to scrutinise it.
Speaking in Pune, Sitharaman questioned the Congress` financial strategy, citing Karnataka as an example of how election pledges drained funding for development. She warned that nationwide implementation of such policies could drive India`s economy from the top of the world rankings to the "fragile five", reported PTI.
