The Punjab Police have deployed additional forces in anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Patiala on Thursday. The heightened security is in response to potential protests by farmers who may attempt to disrupt the visit or raise concerns about ongoing agricultural issues directly with Modi.
The Punjab Police are taking extensive precautionary measures to ensure that law and order are maintained throughout the event. Security agencies have decided to frisk every individual entering the venue on Thursday.
