India on Thursday recorded 35,871 new Covid-19 cases, the highest single-day rise since December last year, taking the total tally to 1,14,74,605.
A single-day spike of 36,011 new infections were recorded on December 6. The country has been registering an increase in cases for the eighth consecutive day. The cases increased by 6,968 from the previous day, the data shared by the Union Health Ministry showed. On Wednesday, the country had logged 28,903 cases of Covid-19.
