On August 15 this year, India will be celebrating its 75th Independence Day from oppressive British rule. Independence Day marks the occasion when India finally achieved freedom against the Britishers on August 15, 1947.
A special event called `Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav` is organised by the Indian government as a tribute to our freedom fighters. The `Har Ghar Tiranga` campaign, under the aegis of `Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav` to encourage people to hoist the Tricolour at homes, was kicked off on August 13.
